Hey Oasis fans!
Kelly here from Spinner.com/AOL Music. We just got this news of street musicians in various locations throughout NYC uniting to play only Oasis covers on Friday (with a pretty probable Gallagher surprise visit at some point throughout the day, according to their label) before their show at Terminal 5. Thought y'all might be interested!
List of locations available here.
Hope all is well!
Best,
Kelly
New York City is famous for many things: the Empire State Building, immigration, pizza, traffic, Donald Trump. But we'd be remiss not to mention the folks who make this rich and vibrant city a little more musical, a little more colorful and, in some cases, helluva lot weirder: the buskers. While most have that whole marching-to-a-different-drum thing going on, there will be a whole slew of musicians singing the same tune in the Big Apple on Friday, as the performers will be covering nothing but new Oasis songs in various locations as a special promotion around the band's not-so-secret NYC show the same night at Terminal 5.
The band's label tells Spinner that one of the Gallagher brothers may even be making a surprise appearance with one of the acts, who are volunteers from MTA's Music Under New York Program, so imagine the day to be a little like Where's Waldo?, only Waldo in this case has a mop top, cigarette and, should it be Noel, a body bandage.
