Kasabian: "Oasis Tour Will Make Festivals Squirm"

Xfm spoke to Sergio Pizzorno and Tom Meighan of Kasabian at the Union Chapel about their gig tonight, the long awaited third album and hippo's and giraffe's. Find out more here...

Amongst the haunted corridors of The Union Chapel, we cosied up with Tom and Serge of Kasabian who are playing tonight at part of Mencap's Little Noise Sessions.

We've all been on tenter hooks waiting for Kasabian's third album, and at last we have some news, as Serge explained:

"The album's gonna be out early next year, it's all finished. So we're playing a couple off that and we've got some giraffe's and hippo's for the encore. I Saw The Killers gigs and it seems like that's what you've got to do these days..."

So should we expect more animals when the Leicester lads tour with Oasis and The Enemy in 2009? Probably not. But it will be magnificent as Tom confirmed:

"I think it's just a fucking really healthy balance, 3 good bands. It's a great line up and all the festivals are squirming, so I'm glad.

So there you have it. Kasabian will be back with a vengeance in 2009 with stage animals and Gallagher Brothers galore.

Lovely
