i feel a bit cheap for asking for money back as i wouldnt normaly, HOWEVER. my girlfriend & i were assaulted on that night, 3 scummy chavs decided to use my head to beat on & them 1 punched my girlfriend in the face leaving a cut under her eye, my c.p. company leather coat was also damaged by them, no security to be seen or any help from any of the onlookers (u know who u are). so yeah, if i can get my money back that would go toward the replacment of the coat & get my girlfriend a bunch of flowers!!

Which is the serial number on the ticket?

Oasis have always put on an awsome performance when I've seen em, but not being able to get anywhere near to the front due to the golden circle bollocks, and the rig breaking, this gig was truely disappointing, esspecially for all us stuck at the back. Hopefully we get the refund, nice one Liam !

has anyone received their refund yet as I havent???

Anonymous said...

i have not recieved my refund for four tickets i am really annoyed as others that i know have recied theirs. there is no contact details listed anywhere to ask them why i have not recieved my refund. i had a tracking number put on the tickets i sent back and it displays as delivered on the 9th, so it got there in plenty of time. its a complete joke!!!!!

Anonymous said...

I have not received my cheque either, did you post it recorded delivery? because i took a photocopy and i thought I better send it recorded but didnt. I dont think I'll ever see a cheq..

NOW 22ND JULY AND IVE STILL NOT RECEIVED A REFUND. WHATS GOING ON !!!!

Anonymous said...

I'm the same... Its now the 23rd July and I haven't received a refund for two tickets - if anyone finds out how to contact OHP POBOx could they leave the details so others can. I posted my tickets recorded and they were delivered on the 10th June... Wonder if I will ever see a cheque...

US TOO, WE SENT 2 TICKETS BACK STILL NO MONEY RECEIVED, I KONW 1 PERSON IN MY TOWN HAS HAD THEIR'S BACK WHAT'S GOING ON ??!!

Anonymous said...

I too sent of 2 tickets and a refund request on time & haven't received a cheque although two of my friends have had their refunds over a week ago!
I am wondering if I ever put down the correct ticket reference number considering I had no idea what that was, however I did send back my two tickets. I don't see how they wouldn't be able to tell that they're valid and had been scanned on the day of the concert!
Very pessimistic about getting the refund at all now.

Thought it was only us! We also sent of for a refund for 5 tickets we went as a family. Sent off for our refund as soon as form was posted but as of yet no reply. Teenagers sons friend who came with us is banging on for his refund but feel bad that cheque has not yet come as it ain't our fault. I bet Liam and Noel never say no to a freebee when it is offered so I don't feel bad when trying to get a refund for that gig. Yeah, it was a great night, but by the second power failure the atmosphere around us was a bit tense to say the least. I don't think refunds will be forthcoming as 42 days are up on 24/07 :(

Don't hold out much hope. I received a cheque yesterday- payable to a different name. Even though i was very careful when writing it out! No way of correcting this. An unfortunate mistake or very clever?

Anonymous said...

Still no refund here either. Im surprised the press aren't all over this publishing "people are still waiting on a failed promise" (or words to that effect)...

Anonymous said...

I posted a comment yesterday and low and behold when I got home I had my cheque... signed by Liam and Noel themselves (printed names though)... Cashing the cheque in later - thanks boys!! Hope others that have commented receive their cheques to. :-)

24th and no cheque!!! anyone else not had theirs? or does anyone know how i can chase it up? nice one ;o)

Anonymous said...

Im still waiting hundreds are ont he bands official site are also

Anonymous said...

In response to Rusty's comment - we have also received a refund cheque payable to the wrong name.

Do you know if there is anything you can do about this?!

Cheers

I haven't received a refund cheque for 2 tickets yet either.
Does anyone know a contact email, number as nothing on website.

Anonymous said...

I sent off for refund for two tickets in time - STILL NO REFUND!!! WHERE IS THE PRESS???

Helen Houareau said...

I sent my 2 tickets back also, form completed correctly and signed and delivered on 9th June so all in good time as requested, the 24th has come and gone i have not received an email, or of course the cheques.
I think that it is a pretty poor show that there is no contact number to chase up the progression of the refund that was promised - it is a bit of a joke to be honest and i am very disappointed as i was when i left early after hanging around for so long not knowing what was going on :-(

Hi All, I posted a comment on Friday saying that I received my cheque.. this is what it said on the front sheet -
Heaton Park - Thursday June 4th 2009.. Thank you for your application to receive a payment as a goodwill gesture for the problems experienced at this show. Please find attached the cheque in respect of this off. No further correspondance will be entered in to....
My cheque is dated 30th June and comes from Natwest in Warrington..

That's it no address no phone number no nothing. Wish I could be more help. Sorry guys.

27th and still no refund either, woman at work received hers on friday! What a joke!!!!!

Anonymous said...

still waiting for refund for 7 tickets wish I could get a contact number to complain its now 3 days passed the promised 42 days.....don't hold out much hope of getting a cheque

Anonymous said...

Still waiting for a refund for 7 tickets also. I know for a fact the form was filled out perfectly because my mate filled his out the same and got a refund for 2 ticket.

It appears the promoters have discarded the big ticket number claims or just decided to bin every 20th application?

Either way, it's a piss take.

I have been waiting for a refund for two tickets also....just arrived home and received a letter in todays post stating:

Your application for a compensation payment for the 4 June Oasis in Heaton Park was ineligible. One of the following reasons will apply:
You were not the original purchaser of the tickets returned.
the tickets were not purchsed from an official Oasis ticket agent
The tickets returned were not scanned on entry to the show.
the applications form was incorrectly or partially completed.
The application was for more than the four tickets per applicant allowed.
Multiple applications were received by you all of which are disallowed.
Your application was received after the closing date for submission.
We hope you enjoyed the show anyhow. No correspondence will be entered into.

Well annnoyed as I didnt do any of the above!!!! Is this yet another "cop out??" Also no address or contact on the letter just a plain white A4 sheet with this printed out, so who do I complain to????

Unknown said...

Think trading standards of someone of the like is gonna be busy, got home & same letter, ineligible due to the same shit bollocks reasons. The missus filled in the form & I checked it before sending. It's obvious it's a cop out with there being no corresponding address. My 3 year old young un could draft out a better lookin letter!!

Anonymous said...

I too received exactly the same letter from them in exactly the same format - a total cop-out!!!!
I have already complained to trading standards as i can not see that this is either legal or fair, will i go again - never!!!!

Anonymous said...

Whoa...

They can't do that. It was never in the terms and conditions that each applicant could only send 4 tickets.

That is brazen and illegal. The headache this is gonna cause, they should have just paid up.

Very very naughty.

Just for your information today (29th July) I informed the Oasis management about all the comments on this post.

I have been told by them, that they are going to look into it.

Anonymous said...

I sent 5 tickets back in plenty of time and still havent recieved a refund yet its a joke! 29th July!

Anonymous said...

Just found this and I also applied for refund for 4 tickets. Very disappointed by gig and farce of power and near riot near where we were. Sent in time (tracked) form completed and checked. WHERE IS THE PRESS on this. Seems the Oasis pr machine has gone into overdrive making out how great they are - but only 20,000 refunds? How about the rest? Money saving?

See thread here:

Anonymous said...

Where on the terms and conditions of the refund does it mention limit of 4 tickets ?
Ticketline who i purchased my tickets from, like the rest of the agencies sold in max of 6. If I would have known i would have applied for each ticket - then again they would have found some loophole not to pay. Is the cost really worth all the bad publicity and upset to your fans Noel ?

Hi,

Has anyone recieved any corrispondence since the 27th of July. I am figuring that this is a huge amount of work which is why the cheques have been delayed.

Anyone

Anonymous said...

By the looks of it. If you didn't get it by the deadline of (24/7) Then the only thing you're likely to get in the post if anything is a refusal letter.

Anonymous said...

Im also still waiting not had anything back to say I filled the refund application in wrong.

Helen Houareau said...

Just to let you know that as per my previous message, i have received feedback from Trading Stadards, it advises :

In your situation, I would advise you to write a letter to the trader. The letter should either be sent recorded delivery or you should obtain a certificate of postage from the Post Office. Keep a copy of the letter for your records.

In the letter explain what has happened. The letter should state that you are challenging the trader's decision not to communicate with you further on this matter. Tell the trader that you should be given a refund because the performer stated that "This is a free gig now. Everyone will get a refund". Ask the trader to provide the refund within the next 14 days. Explain that the fact that you bought it on e bay should not make a difference in terms of the decision/promise to give refund.

If you do not get a satisfactory resolution after this please contact us again and we can review the best way to advise you further on your problem.

From inet OASIS HEATON PARK REFUNDS
31 July 2009

All refund applications for the Oasis Heaton Park concert received by the closing date (12th June) have now been processed and by now all applicants should have received their cheque or a letter explaining why their application was unsuccessful.

If you have applied for a refund and have not received a response, or received a cheque written out incorrectly please email help@oasisheatonpark.com with your name and address. This email address (which will remain open until the 31st August) is ONLY for applicants who have not received any response or have an incorrectly completed cheque. No other correspondence will be entered into.

Ticket holders are reminded of the following:

- Only applications received by the 12th June enclosing the original tickets are eligible.
- Only valid tickets scanned on entry at Heaton Park are eligible. If you did not go to the show you cannot make a claim.
- Incorrectly completed forms are ineligible. Organisers simply cannot process these.
- Ticket purchases for the concert were restricted to a maximum of 6 per person. Single applications for more than the 6 ticket maximum are therefore ineligible.
- Only tickets purchased directly from authorised ticket agencies are eligible. If you bought a ticket on eBay, from a tout or other secondary source you cannot claim.

The Heaton Park refund offer was a discretionary offer made by Oasis and their promoters. The organisers decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

They are simply moving the goal posts to suit themselves, as not all of the above was in the terms and conditions but have now been added - total cop-out and we will still see what TS have to say!!!

Anonymous said...

It's now 6th August and i have still not received any refund for my oasis tickets. The worst thing is that i sent it next day special delivery on 9th June, so i can't understand why i have not had a refund. It's so annoying!!

Some of my friends have all had their tickets refunded it's such a joke. Not holiding much hope now and i am really not sure what else i should do?

GI JANE said...

Sent an email on the 31st of July and shock horror I had a reply today stating my application was ineligible.

It doesnt tell you what you did wrong but gives you a list of one of many.

they are -
Not original purchaser of ticket returned - I paid for them on my credit card. My mate who I sorted tickets for has had his refund.

Not purchased from official oasis ticket agent - I got mine through ticketmaster.

tickets not scanned on entry - How else would you get in and they did scan them whether they scanned them properly.

application incorrectly completed -I double checked my application form about 20 times and got somebody else to check it to make sure I hadnt made any mistakes.

The application was for more than 4 tickets - sent 2 tickets back.

Multiple applications were recieved by you - only sent 1 application off.

Application was recieved after the closing date - sent it next day recorded.

I just feel this is a cop out by Oasis or their agent and Im really Pi**ed off. Surly they should be able to say why they wont give me a refund.

Anonymous said...

It's an absolute farce. I too have been turned down. I sent off for 5 tickets. (There was NEVER any mention in the T&C's that you could only send 4 back maximum)

It's a bloody disgrace to promise a 'free gig' All it's done has cost me more time and money and now I don't even have my ticket as a souvenier.

Disgraceful Oasis. I can't believe the press isn't on this.

Natalie said...

I've just recieved the same shitty cop out letter that other people have. I sent 5 tickets back but there was nothing to say you could only send 4 back for a refund. My brother sent 3 tickets back and has had no refund either. Has anyone had any luck taking further action? Or does anyone know what options are available to us? I'm sure this is not legal.

Helen said...

Hi Natalie, I've taken the issue up with Trading Standards, I wrote a letter back to the PO Box last week won't go into letter deatils but they have next week to respond, failing that TS have advised they will look into the case. My advise is, the morecomplai t TS has the better so get onto them. .

Anonymous said...

Got the same letter, not even addressed, despite the fact me and my mate filled in the form exactly the same and posted in the same way. They must have had a figure to match then once thats reached no more. Bit of a joke really....

Anonymous said...

I just had a rejection letter through the post (30th Aug). There is no correspondence address. I can only think that it is because I bought my tickets on ebay. But why should that matter and anyway it wasn't in the original T&C's.
This is a real cop-out by Oasis management.

I received a cheque in the wrong name!!!! Tried to cash it and was told that it would need to be amended. I've sent an email to the help address above but not holding my breath! Would expect they have done this to loads of people to keep the cost down!

Still, its not all bad, at least we saw them do one last amazing gig! chin up!

Anonymous said...

yep its crap! im gunna take them to small claims court!!

Anonymous said...

As someone mentioned earlier that they now dont have either a refund or the actual ticket to keep as a souvenir especially now Oasis have split up!!!.....I have just seen on ebay someone trying to sell the Bank of Burnage Cheque which they must of received starting bid at £55...great eh?? Very interested to see if they do sell it or not!!

Its the 9th September and im still waiting. i emailed them 2 weeks ago and not heard anything back at all.

Its a disgrace.
