Caught Live: Oasis

Liam Gallagher was at his snarling best as Oasis played the iTunes Festival.

He scowled throughout the show at London's Roundhouse and kicked off about students, the sound and people in "snooker cue shoes".

The angry singer snarled: "I hope you lot are feeling as f****** uncomfortable as I am."

We all were.

For whatever reason, he didn't want to be there.

But it made for an entertaining show and you could not take your eyes off him.

I saw Sienna Miller, Ant & Dec, Adrian Chiles and Phillip Glenisterall gripped.

Yesterday brother Noel posted on their website: "That gig was, erm, very odd. What'siz'name exploded with pretend rage. Strange cat. Saying that, it was a full moon'n'all. Didn't notice him getting any more hairy though."

Things started badly when someone threw a plastic pint of ale which hit Liam's pristine Parka - and it just got worse.

Liam poured water on cameras, abused the audience and ignored Noel.

Ever the gent, Noel looked embarrassed by Liam, even saying: "Well, well, someone's in a bad mood!"

At one point Liam smashed his tambourine into the mic and walked off stage.

But it was a solid set. Highlights included The Masterplan, Slide Away, Half The World Away and Champagne Supernova.

Oasis have a few gigs to go this summer, including the V Festival next month.

Yesterday they flew out to Japan and South Korea for a week.

I hope they last the distance.
