Cornwall plays an important part in the history of Oasis – who headline the Eden Sessions tonight – as it was at Sawmills Studio, Golant near Fowey, that Manchester’s finest recorded their seminal debut album, Definitely Maybe.
They returned in early 2004 to record another album but the sessions were scrapped – how much would those tapes be worth now?!
The Gallagher brothers may have travelled to the county to record, but tonight’s gig – an intimate concert for them, in front of 6,000 fans – is the first time they’ve played live in Cornwall.
Excitement is building, following three massive Wembley Stadium gigs at the weekend which saw them play classics like Live Forever, Champagne Supernova, Don’t Look Back In Anger and Supersonic alongside songs from last year’s return to form, Dig Out Your Soul.
Liam’s swagger in front of Eden’s biomes? It surely means a gig of iconic proportions
Check back here tonight from 8pm (UK TIME) live updates from the concert.
