Noel Gallagher was the surprise special guest at Paul Weller's show at the London Relentless Garage on Wednesday, April 21.
NME.com reports that Gallagher joined the ex-Jam mainman for a version of Oasis' album track, 'Mucky Fingers,' from 2005's 'Don't Believe the Truth,' and Weller's 2008 single, 'Echoes Round the Sun'.
The gig was to mark the April 19 release of Weller's new album, 'Wake Up the Nation.' Meanwhile, Gallagher has been talking about the rough and tumble nature of his long-standing relationship with "The Modfather" -- saying he's a "nightmare" to go out on the town with.
In an interview with radio station Talk Sport, the former Oasis mainman said, "I guess Weller's my oldest friend, I suppose, and I don't mean the fact that he's, like, 50. There's an unwritten law that I never go out with him, he's a nightmare.
"He's hardcore -- if you go out with him, if you come home at all, there's bumps and bruises. There's been scuffles in the street and you've probably fallen out with him."
As Spinner reported on April 21, the man who attacked the Gallagher rocker at the Virgin Festival in Toronto in 2008, leaving him with three broken ribs, has avoided jail.
Danny Sullivan, 48, was sentenced to 12 months of house arrest after he pleaded guilty to assault, causing bodily harm.
