Liam Gallagher confirmed in May that he's planning to turn Richard Dilello's book about the last days of the Beatles into a movie.
"No-one's ever really done the Beatles story, but this isn't the Beatles story," he says. "It's about Apple Records, and the Beatles will hardly feature in the film. It's about a period of music that I love."
He is not daunted about the prospect of working with the temperamental Oasis frontman.
"It's fun to work with someone like Liam Gallagher because he's someone who's probably lived a life that's not a million miles away from that of the Beatles.
"We've done lots of music films -- like 24 Hour Party People and 9 Songs -- and they are great fun. A lot of musicians would like to be in the film business and a lot of film people would like to be in the music industry!" he says.
