Jay-Z: "Noel Gallagher Has An Old Way Of Thinking"

In a recent interview with Q Magazine, Jay-Z spoke of Noel Gallagher's outspoken reaction to a rapper headlining Glastonbury. He said, "I thought it was a bit music-racist. An old way of thinking. Everyone trying to do something new is going to come up against a Noel Gallagher figure in their life."

Glastonbury is meant to be a rock'n roll festival, and almost everything new that comes out is shit. So, i don't think it's an old way of thinking, just the good one ;)

since when has jay zeds music been something new? hip hop has been around for nearly 30years? for a form of music with so many words it has very little to say that hasnt been said already....hip hop died with biggie and tupac..., noel letting androdgenous amorpehous remix falling down..that sounded far more interesting and fresh than any jay zed pish, empire state of mind great song but still follows the formula of bloke rapping bird singing bloke rapping bird singing, end

Everyone has a preconcieved idea of what they'll get at Glastonbury, and Jay-Z isn't it. If Eavis is going to pull stunts like that, he should announce the headliner before tickets go on sale. Anything else is a rip-off.
Finally, on the racism thing. Noel Gallagher isn't the one who refuses entry to a party because your skin colour doesn't match his own. Can Jay-Z make the same claim?

Wasn't this last year's news? Or is Jay-Z talking about it again?
