Liam Gallagher: 'Roses Were Right To Reunite'

Liam Gallagher has urged critics not to challenge The Stone Roses for breaking their promise to never reunite.

Since their break-up in 1996, the British rockers have constantly rebutted rumours of a comeback, with bass player Gary 'Mani' Mounfield speaking out as recently as April (11) to say he was "disgusted" by the latest reports.

But last week, the Fools Gold hitmakers performed an about-turn and announced they are reforming for a world tour next year (12) - and former Oasis star Gallagher, who is a close friend of the band, has urged critics not to accuse them of hypocrisy.

He tells Nme magazine, "I think people should just chill out man, and let them get back together. Reporters are gonna be like, 'You said this, you said that.' Who gives a f**k, man, they're there, and they're doing it, and everyone should be happy, because they're a mega band.

"It's just a waste of time all that, 'Well, you said this...'. Alright, well I've f**king changed my mind, you f**king little spotty c**t. People change their f**king minds, man."
