Liam Gallagher Help Various Cancer Charities

Liam Gallagher has signed up to support a local musical which is raising money for cancer charities.

The Beady Eye frontman took time out before performing at Birmingham’s 02 Academy last week to sign a portrait by Tamworth artist Sue Verity which will be auctioned in December.

Proceeds will go towards boosting the £1,000 raised by the musical Survive! which was performed at Birmingham’s Alexandra Theatre this autumn.

Funds collected are being donated to the Teenage Cancer Trust, Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation, EVE Appeal and Macmillan Cancer Support.

Former Oasis singer Liam is the latest celebrity, after actors Johnny Depp and Roger Moore, to sign a portrait by Sue to be auctioned for the campaign.

Survive! co-producer Nigel Davey said: “Liam was lovely.”
