I caught up this week with one of our generations greatest songwriters, Noel Gallagher, the heart and soul of legendary Manchester outfit OASIS, who has just embarked on a solo journey under the moniker of Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds.

We discussed his fantastic debut solo release -the eponymous new album that topped the UK charts last week with over 120,000 sold- and talked about Noel’s history in San Francisco, the Stone Roses reunion, his favorite Bay Area band, whether the Smiths or Oasis would reform first AND how Kim Gordon of Sonic Youth once attempted to steal Oasis’ Jack Daniels from their dressing room at our Live 105 Xmas show in Berkeley back in 1995.
