Johnny Marr Nearly Joined Oasis

Johnny Marr has said he nearly joined Oasis after founding members Bonehead and Guigsy left the band in 1999.

He told NME magazine: ''It was only a contingency. A few phone calls went back and forth between our offices when Bonehead and Guigsy left, but I couldn't do it, and they knew it wasn't a good idea.'
